Case Study
From a Broken Wix Site to a Design-Build Brand: The Dream Craft Builders Website Launch
Dream Craft Builders runs full design-build remodeling out of Newark, Delaware — kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole-home renovations, roofing, commercial build-outs, and fire and water damage restoration handled directly with the homeowner’s insurance adjuster. Real crews, real jobs, real referrals.
Their website was actively working against all of it.
A website that was costing them jobs
The old Wix site had two problems that no amount of good work could out-run:
- It was serving a competitor’s content. A template left roofing copy on the page that belonged to another company. Homeowners landing on the site were reading somebody else’s business.
- The phone number was fake. A placeholder number sat live on the contact section. Every homeowner who tried to call went nowhere.
- Nothing was structured for search. One flat services page, no city pages, no schema — so “kitchen remodel Newark DE” and “fire damage restoration Delaware” went to competitors.
- The brand didn’t match the work. A high-end design-build company was presenting itself with a stock builder template.
A premium build, structured around how homeowners actually search
We threw out the template and built Dream Craft Builders a 14-page custom site in their real brand — black, gold, and white, with editorial typography that reads like a design-build firm instead of a handyman flyer.
- One page per service — kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishing, whole-home renovations, fire & water damage restoration, roofing, and commercial construction. Every trade gets its own page, its own scope, and its own shot at ranking.
- Six dedicated city pages — Newark, Wilmington, Middletown, Dover, Smyrna, and Hockessin — so local searches land on a page written for that market instead of a generic homepage.
- A drag-to-reveal before/after slider on the homepage. Remodeling is sold with your eyes, not your copy — so the transformation is the first thing a homeowner interacts with.
- A restoration section built for insurance work, written for the moment a homeowner is standing in a damaged house: we document the damage, work with your adjuster, and rebuild. That’s a completely different buying decision than a kitchen remodel, and it needed its own pitch.
- Free in-home consultation as the primary call to action, with a real, working phone number — 302-444-1006 — above the fold on every page.
Built to be found by Google and AI search
Every page ships with schema markup, crawlable static structure, unique metadata, a sitemap, and answer-first copy — the structure that local SEO rewards and that ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity actually parse when a homeowner asks who does basement finishing in Newark, Delaware.
That’s included on every Zero Degree Media build at no extra charge. Most contractor web designers still don’t do it.
The results
Dream Craft Builders now has a website that matches the caliber of the work: seven services with their own pages, six Delaware cities covered, a working phone number, a gallery that sells the craftsmanship, and a restoration path built for insurance-driven emergencies.
