TuEstimado: A Bilingual Estimating Tool Built Around the Way Contractors Actually Work
A contractor on a job site does not need another desktop-first back-office system. They need to turn a conversation into a clear estimate, send it quickly, and keep moving. TuEstimado was built around that exact workflow.
The problem was not just invoicing
For many Hispanic contractors in the United States, the work happens in Spanish but the customer-facing estimate may need to be in English. The handoff often happens through WhatsApp, text, or email, usually from a phone while the contractor is still on site.
A generic invoicing app can technically create a document. It does not necessarily fit the language, speed, or sharing habits of the person doing the work.
A product built around the job site
Zero Degree Media designed TuEstimado as a bilingual web product for creating professional contractor estimates and invoices without forcing the workflow through a desktop.
- Bilingual from the start: Spanish and English support reflects how its users communicate with crews and customers.
- Mobile-first estimate workflow: The product is designed for use from a phone, where contractors actually create and send work.
- Professional output: Estimates can be turned into branded, shareable PDFs instead of informal text threads.
- Fast sharing: The finished document is built to move through the channels contractors already use, including WhatsApp, text, and email.
- Voice-assisted flow: Contractors can start from what they say on site, not from a blank spreadsheet.
What this proves
TuEstimado is not a template site with a login screen added later. It required product decisions across bilingual UX, job-site behavior, document generation, and the path between marketing and a private web app.
The lesson applies to service businesses well beyond invoicing: build the workflow people will actually use, not the feature list that looks good in a sales deck.
If your business has outgrown a standard website, we can help identify whether the right next step is a better website, an integration, or a focused product build.
